Chairman of the Management Board Mag. Franz Witt Dörring

Franz Witt-Dörring started his career in 1980 as a customer advisor at the private bank Rössler AG in Salzburg (then a wholly owned subsidiary of Erste Bank). In 1988, he joined Erste Bank Salzburg as branch office manager. In 1993, he was appointed Head of Private Banking at Erste Group Bank in Vienna, where he developed the private banking services for Erste Bank. In 2001, Franz Witt-Dörring joined Merrill Lynch as Head of Private Banking – first in Vienna and later in Munich and Frankfurt following the closure of the Vienna office. In the course of the sale of Merrill Lynch’s private banking business to UBS, he was initially a member of the executive board of UBS Wealth Management, where he was responsible for the regions of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. In 2005, he was appointed CEO of UBS’s Austrian branch and, as Country Head, was responsible for UBS’s private banking business in Austria. Franz Witt-Dörring has been Chairman of the Management Board of Schoellerbank AG since June 2012.

Alongside our philosophy of invest rather than speculate, there are two main principles that characterise Schoellerbank’s success: first, every day our consultants devote themselves anew to exceeding the expectations of our clients. And secondly, we put the personal interests of our clients before those of the bank.
